Alan Daughtry handles a variety of civil appellate matters in state and federal appellate court—for both the plaintiff and the defendant—covering a broad range of commercial and tort issues. He is board certified in Civil Appellate Law, and has developed an emphasis on governmental and constitutional, property and condemnation, and foreign law and jurisdictional issues. In addition to providing appellate briefing and argument, he frequently assists trial counsel on addressing complex legal and jury charge issues at trial. Mr. Daughtry is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubble.

More and more companies and clients recognize the value in hiring the lawyer, not an amorphous big-name firm. I do my own work research, briefing, analysis, reviewing the record geared toward helping the client and co-counsel effectively and efficiently. Many law firm appellate lawyers do not do this work themselves. They do not read the record; they do not research the cases cited by either side. Instead, they delegate work to high-rate associates, get memos prepared to paper the file, get the record summarized by someone else, and review/edit briefs largely written by others. My goal is to provide top-notch individual performance and accountability at a more competitive rate significantly less than that charged by law firms.
